Help us take the next step for nature in Cheltenham

Cheltenham Action for Nature is a volunteer and community-led group working to support wildlife and nature across the town.

We began with a survey, asking people what they value about nature in Cheltenham, what is already happening and what is missing. Since then, we have been talking to residents, local groups, schools and organisations across the town.

Again and again, we have heard the same things: people care deeply about nature, there is already lots of brilliant work happening, but it can feel disconnected. People want practical ideas, chances to meet others, more support and more ways to get involved.

We feel the same. So now, we want to move into the next phase: action.

With your support, we want to:

  • grow Cheltenham Gardens for Nature and help create a connected “green thread” of wildlife-friendly spaces across the town
  • bring together the many groups and organisations already doing great things for nature in Cheltenham, so they can share skills, ideas, knowledge and a common sense of purpose
  • organise more talks, walks and practical workshops, so more people feel inspired and confident to help nature where they live
  • create more support, resources and practical information for residents, giving people the tools they need to take action in their own gardens, streets and neighbourhoods
  • support new and existing projects linked to wildlife, water, growing and greener streets, helping turn Gloucestershire’s Nature Recovery Strategy into practical change across Cheltenham

There is absolutely no pressure to give. Reading our stories, sharing ideas, coming to events and helping spread the word are all hugely valuable too.

But if you would like to help us take the next step, and turn all these conversations into action, you now can.
